**This is all kinda personal (and embarrassing) but I need help!**
Right after Trent and I got married I put on about 25lbs in 2 months! My eating habits hadn't changed. I just got married to my best friend, had a super fun awesome wedding day, and went on a beautiful honeymoon. That said I wasn't stressed. The only thing that I did change was going on birth control (sorry if this is TMI for anyone). I started it a month before we got married and by the time we got married i had quickly gained about 7lbs. After the honeymoone I really started to notice the weight. I went off the pill as soon as I made the connection but it was too late. The damage was done. I gained 30lbs in 3 months!!! I was so devastated. I heard of gaining weight the first year of marriage but this was ridiculous! I have been trying for almost 3 years to lose the weight but I just couldn't do it!!! I lost the baby weight but still have all the pre-baby weight that I wanted to get rid of in the first place to lose! For a while it was because I couldn't commit and now it's because I feel so overwhelmed with the idea of trying to lose the weight. I want to SOOOOO bad! I hate getting dressed in the morning and I hate wearing a bating suits. I hate mirrors and seeing myself in pictures and I hate that I hate all those things! I'm not trying to sound vain. I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin again. I am so so ready to fully commit finally. I just don't know where to begin. It's daunting. I feel like I have such a long road ahead of me. I'm not even asking to be at the weight I was before the pill (that'd be a bonus). Right now I just want to lose about 15-20 and then go from there. So here's where you come in...
I NEED YOUR ADVISE!!!! Do any of you have tips? A diet that you know will work? Ways to stay on track? ANYTHING!?
I also want to invite any of you to do this with me who feel the same way I do. Trent is going to be my workout buddy and I think that will help a ton! But the more the merrier! I hear it's easier to lose weight if you have a support system to help you. I'll help you if you help me :) And, now I've made public my plan. You all know about what I'm trying to do and so that puts added pressure on me to keep it up!!! I'll keep you posted on my progress along the way. Wish me luck!!!

Lindsay first off, i think you look great. When I was working with you, I always thought you looked so cute and thin. Seriously, not just saying that.
I do know how you feel. I don't care for my body right now either and I hate the whole finding something that fits everyday. Let me know when you find the right thing. I just started walking (again) this week. We will see what happens. If you wouldn't have moved we could go together, ok just move back (lol)
Good luck girl! keep me posted!
My cousins, a few of my friends, and some coworkers have done the HCG diet and in the first round most of them lost 15-20 lbs. Look it up, but it does require a three week stint of 500 calories a day while taking the HCG drops (the HCG apparently keeps your metabolism at the normal rate while your body burns off the fat from the dramatic drop in caloric intake). You do it for 3wks, then you can't do it again for 6wks. Most of the people I know who have done it have lost over 20-30lbs.
well considering you just had a baby, if you are nursing you have to be careful not to cut too many calories out of your diet. if i were you i would talk to your doctor and see what the right amount of calorie intake per day is. good luck lindsay! oh and a lot of my family has done weight watchers and had lots of success. :)
you're gorgeous so you shouldn't hate looking in the mirror, but i do know exactly that feeling and it sucks. i'm sorry.
at my thinnest, i drank a carnation instant breakfast in the morning (keeps you totally full 'til lunch), and a lean cuisine for lunch and one for dinner (but make sure to get them on sale) with salad for both meals. anyways, it seems extreme so maybe it's too drastice since you're nursing, but there you go.
i wish i could start this diet with you but apparently i'm supposed to gain weight while i'm pregnant. who knew? anyways, i'm gonna get into rockin' shape come august though!
you can do it, linds! just make sure you run at least a mile 5 times a week- just a mile. or even walk it to start.
good for you! miss you!
I'm actually not nusrning anymore (I should've included that cause it opens a lot of options). Thanks you guys for all the adivse!! It really has me thinking :)
I've heard of the HCG diet and was tempted to try it...until I got pregnant! I know how you feel, it took me a good 18 months after having Brooklyn to start feeling good about my appearance and that same month I got preggo! So, wish wish wish I could join you, maybe you can help me come this August! Let me know what you come up with and what works for you!
Oh and I think you are gorgeous, always have been!
Before going on a crazy diet you need to maybe consider modifying what you are already eating and make some life changes instead of dieting. Also get some excersice I personally love Jazzersize I am working on being an instructor now, it is the best workout out there for women. Go to Jazzercise dot come and find a class near you. A lot offer babysitting so you can take your kiddo. Good luck, I know you pain... I have not changed a ton what I have been eating I am more conscious of what I put in my mouth but with doing jazzersize I have lost ten pounds in 7 weeks.
I'm with Erin about the Jazzercise but the best advice I have is try everything you can until you find something that you love. I hear Zumba is blast too if their is a class locally for you. As far as diet goes I have to watch how many carbs I am eating. That is my biggest down fall. And I have and IUD instead of taking the pill which is the bomb!!! Even after I get my tubal I am going to keep my IUD because I have no period!!! And you don't gain the weight you get from being on the pill. Good Luck I am right with you right now too trying to lose about 15 pounds right now.
First off, I would never have guessed because you are so skinny and gorgeous! Just before I got pregnant with Tyson, I would go walking around my neighborhood/park for at least 30 min if not longer. It got to be my me time, and soon became addicting. I hooked up my Ipod and gave Aeryn her snacks and we loved it! I also ate small portions. With 2, it's harder to do the walking thing, so I'm currently looking for a new routine too! GOod luck!!
Hi girly, I know you probably already have all the advice that you were looking for but I thought I'd put mine in, too : ) I'm with "The Pea", modifying what you're eating instead of "dieting" is a much better life change and something that you'll actually stick with once you've met your goal. When I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes and was restricted from eating EVERYTHING except veggies. I was told eat all the veggies you want and I think that is something to keep in mind. You can snack on veggies throughout the day and it's easy to incorporate them into your meals. Also, if you've ever heard of P90X it's pretty cool. Its a work out program that pretty much kicks butt. I think Trent would like it, too. Eric got me started on it. I like it cause you can go at your own intensity. Anyway, best of luck to you. Glad your little man seems to be doing so well!
Join Sione's bootcamp!!! :)
Hey... I just thought that I would share my thoughts and personal experience too. Since I went to college, got married and had two kids, I have put on over 50 pounds. 57 to be exact.I have always tried all sorts of things, watching what I ate, exercising, counting calories, you name it. So after I had my second baby I finally was so fed up with my weight that I joined a gym. I got down to my pre baby weight quick, but that weight was still the 57 pounds heavier then I would have liked. So I started working out. I found a friend in my ward and literally I started working out with her 5-6 days a week for two hours a day. I lost 20 pounds and was feeling great. Then I hit a major plateau. For 8 weeks straight I could not lose a stinking pound, even with working out and watching what I ate. This is the point I am at now. I still want to lose 37 pounds but it was not coming off. So...I jumped on the band wagon and have started the HCG diet this week. I know that it might not be the thing you want to try quite yet, but I was desperate after working out for 5 months and only losing 20 pounds, I wanted something more. So its my first week on it, and Im finally seeing results again. I have lost 7 pounds so far so I'm finally feeling motivated again. So...if you need to even just vent about it, I am here, and totally know exactly how your feeling. I have wanted to post something about this on my blog but am still too nervous to post it out there, so I just thought I would comment here because I 100% know where you are coming from. Sorry such a long comment, just needed to vent myself I guess :)
Remember we are all our worst critics-I don't think you look bad my dear. Exercise and eating healthy work for me but also everyone's body is different. I have nursed Jenna longer than Tuck but both times my body shed the weight on it's time and it took a full nine months. Every two months I'd drop some pounds and nothing would change so when they say it takes 9 months to put it on and take it off-it's true for me.
