Our New Home

I've had a few requests to post pictures of our new house. We have been here since March and are still loving it!
Our empty catch-all living room and entry way.

There's another guest room next to Luke's room but it's pretty much empty so I figured no one would care to see that.

We Love Dad!!

Luke actually loves the pool. Don't let his grumpy face fool you.

I know this is late but I needed to make sure I acknowledged Trent on his very first Fathers Day! I knew when I met Trent that he would be "The Fun Dad". When we got married and even when we started dating we loved to talk about our future family! We spent so much time talking about how many kids we wanted, names we liked and how many boy and how many girls we would want (as if we could choose). But Trents favorite thing to talk about was all the fun things he would do with our kids. Taking them hiking and mountain biking, playing Legos, working on projects together. Trust me the list goes on and on and grows every day. We pretty much agreed on everything about kids except deciding when we would start out little family. Trent was very certain that he wanted to wait at least 4 years after we were married to start trying. I, thought he was crazy if he thought he could make me wait that long. I loved our time before kids but I was just very excited to begin the next phase. You can imagine my complete shock when one night Trent told me he was ready to start a family. We had been married A little over a year and a half.

It didn't take long till we were expecting and preparing for little one. The only thing that could make Trent happier would be if we were having a boy! Enter Luke.

Trent is everything I hoped the father of my children would be. It melts my heart to see Trent and Luke together! That little boy loves his mommy but he adores his dad! And how can you blame him? Happy Fathers Day Sweetie. We love you!

Here we go

Teething. I noticed Luke's first tooth creeping in a little over a week ago. He's been so good though. Nothing like I expected a teething baby to act. No fevers. Not at all grouchy but maybe just a little more clingy with me. But seriously he's been a dream as usual. Until yesterday. Poor baby! I could just tell he was not himself. His tooth is still just below the skin and I also noticed tooth number two coming right next to it. He was extra extra clingy and very fussy. And to top it off he would not take a good nap. He normally doesn't give me too much trouble going down for his nap but yesterday he wouldn't sleep unless he was in my arms and even that wouldn't last longer than 20 minutes. The second I laid him down he'd wake up instantly and start to cry. There was nothing more I could but but hold him and give him Tylenol. I feel so helpless! So here's my question to you experienced moms out there. Are there any good teething secrets out there? I can't imagine what teething must be like. There are so many things that babies go through that seems like it would be so overwhelming and confusing. It's probably a good thing they don't remember any of it!
